To provide our service we collect:

• Contact details — name, email address, phone number you provide when booking.
• Trip details — pickup and drop-off addresses, dates, times, passenger count, special requests.
• Payment information — processed directly by Stripe, PayPal, or Square. We never see or store your full card number.
• Communication records — emails, SMS, chat messages, and call recordings (for quality and dispatch coordination).
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referrer URL (via Vercel Analytics, in aggregate).

• To coordinate your ride and confirm bookings.
• To send transactional emails and SMS (booking confirmation, dispatch updates, receipts).
• To communicate with you about your trip and respond to inquiries.
• To process payments through our payment processors.
• To improve our service, monitor performance, and prevent fraud.
• To comply with legal obligations (tax records, CPCN compliance, accident reports).

We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

We share necessary information only with service providers that help us operate:

• Payment processors — Stripe, PayPal, Square (process your payment securely).
• Email and SMS providers — Resend, Twilio (deliver confirmations and notifications).
• Hosting and analytics — Vercel (hosts the site), Supabase (stores booking records), Google Maps (route preview).
• Live chat — Tawk.to (if you message us through the chat widget).
• Legal authorities — only when required by law, subpoena, or court order.

Booking records are retained for 7 years for tax and CPCN regulatory compliance. Marketing communication preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion of personal data at any time by emailing info@vipcityrides.com.

• Request a copy of that information.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).

We use minimal tracking. Vercel Analytics is privacy-respecting (no cookies, no personal identifiers). The Google Maps route preview sets its own cookies when activated. The Tawk.to chat widget sets cookies when you initiate a chat. We do not use advertising trackers.

All data transmission is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS). Payment data flows directly to PCI-compliant processors and never touches our servers. We limit access to booking records to authorized dispatch and accounting personnel only.

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Material changes will be announced via email to active customers.
