Family boarding a black luxury SUV with luggage — VIP City Rides cruise port transfer
San Pedro · Long Beach · LAX

Your cruise starts the moment you leave the house — not at the gangway. Los Angeles sailings depart from two ports: the World Cruise Center in San Pedro and the Long Beach Cruise Terminal beside the Queen Mary. Both sit 20+ miles from LAX and central LA, across some of the most unpredictable traffic in the city. VIP City Rides handles the timing for you: a professional chauffeur, a luggage-friendly luxury SUV, and a flat rate quoted before you ride — whether we’re picking you up at home, your hotel, or straight off your flight at LAX.

What's Included

Every cruise transfer comes with this.

Timed to Your Sailing

We plan your departure around your ship's check-in window and LA traffic — with buffer built in. You board relaxed, not racing the gangway.

LAX-to-Port Direct

Flying in for your cruise? We track your flight, meet you at baggage claim or curbside, and drive straight to your terminal — one seamless trip.

Room for Cruise Luggage

Full-size Chevrolet Suburbans and Cadillac Escalades carry up to 6 passengers with large suitcases and garment bags — no squeezing, no roof racks.

Door-to-Berth Drop-off

Your chauffeur drops you at your ship's passenger terminal — World Cruise Center berths in San Pedro or the Long Beach dome — steps from porters and check-in.

Licensed & Fully Insured

California TCP permit TCP PSG0036422. Commercial insurance and vetted professional chauffeurs on every ride.

Disembarkation Pickups, 24/7

Ships dock early. Our dispatch is live around the clock — text when you clear the gangway and your SUV meets you at the terminal curb.

The Two LA Cruise Ports

Know your terminal — we do.

Los Angeles cruises sail from two different ports about 6 miles apart. Your booking confirmation tells us which — and we take it from there.

World Cruise Center — San Pedro

Port of Los Angeles, Berths 91–93. Home port for Princess and sailings from Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, and more.

Long Beach Cruise Terminal

231 Windsor Way, in the iconic dome beside the Queen Mary. Carnival Cruise Line's dedicated LA-area home port.

FAQ

Cruise transfer questions.

Which Los Angeles cruise terminals do you serve?

We serve both LA-area cruise ports: the World Cruise Center at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro (Berths 91–93), and the Long Beach Cruise Terminal at 231 Windsor Way next to the Queen Mary, which is Carnival's dedicated terminal. We also handle transfers between the two ports.

How far is LAX from the San Pedro and Long Beach cruise terminals?

Both terminals are roughly 20–22 miles from LAX — typically 30 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. We time your pickup with a comfortable buffer so you arrive within your ship's check-in window without stress.

Can you pick me up at LAX and take me straight to my cruise ship?

Yes — this is our most popular cruise transfer. We track your flight in real time, meet you at baggage claim with a name sign or curbside at Arrivals, help with your luggage, and drive directly to your cruise terminal.

What time should I leave for my cruise departure?

Most LA cruises begin boarding late morning and sail around 4pm. As a rule of thumb, we recommend arriving at the port in the early afternoon at the latest. When you book, we look at your ship's check-in window and the day's traffic patterns and recommend a pickup time with buffer built in.

Do you pick up after the cruise (disembarkation)?

Yes. Ships typically dock early in the morning, and disembarkation can vary by an hour or more. Your chauffeur is scheduled for your ship's arrival, and our 24/7 dispatch adjusts in real time — just call or text (424) 355-6600 as you clear the gangway and your SUV will be at the terminal curb.

How much does a cruise port transfer cost?

Cruise transfers are flat rates quoted upfront at booking — the price depends on your pickup location and vehicle, and it never surges. Book online or call for an exact quote for your date.
