Getting picked up at LAX doesn’t have to mean the long walk to the LAX-it lot, a surging rideshare app, or a taxi line. With a pre-arranged private car service, your chauffeur comes to you — at your terminal, on your schedule, tracked to your flight.
Here’s exactly how it works, so your arrival in Los Angeles is the easy part of the trip.
Two ways we meet you at LAX
Meet & Greet (inside)
Your chauffeur parks and waits inside baggage claim holding a placard with your name, then helps with your luggage to the vehicle. Best after long-haul or international flights, or with family.
Curbside (Arrivals level)
Prefer to walk straight out? Your chauffeur pulls up to the Arrivals (lower) level curb at your terminal. We text you the exact pickup spot the moment you land.
Step by step: what happens
1. You book & share your flight number
We log your flight and start tracking it automatically.
2. We track your flight in real time
Early or delayed, your pickup time adjusts on its own — no calls needed.
3. You land — we text you
You get your chauffeur's name, the vehicle, and exact meeting spot.
4. Meet, load up & relax
Curbside or inside at baggage claim. We handle the bags; you settle in.
LAX terminal quick guide
LAX has nine terminals arranged in a horseshoe. Baggage claim and pickup are on the lower Arrivals level. Not sure of your terminal? Just send us your flight — we’ll know.
LAX pickup — frequently asked questions
Where does my chauffeur meet me at LAX?+
With a pre-arranged car service like VIP City Rides, you skip the crowded LAX-it lot entirely (that's only for Uber, Lyft, and taxis). Your chauffeur either meets you inside at baggage claim with a name sign (meet & greet) or pulls up to the Arrivals curb on the lower level at your terminal. We confirm the exact spot by text once you land.
Do I have to walk to LAX-it?+
No. LAX-it is only for rideshare and taxis. As a licensed pre-arranged car service, we pick you up directly at your terminal — curbside on the Arrivals (lower) level, or with meet & greet inside the terminal.
What happens if my flight is delayed?+
We track your flight in real time and adjust your pickup automatically — there's nothing for you to call about. Complimentary wait time is included (typically up to 60 minutes for international arrivals and 30 minutes for domestic).
How do I find my driver at LAX?+
After you land, we text you your chauffeur's name, the vehicle, and the exact meeting point. If you booked meet & greet, your chauffeur is already waiting inside baggage claim holding a placard with your name.
How much is a car service from LAX?+
Flat rates start at $85 in a Chevrolet Suburban or $95 in a Cadillac Escalade for most Los Angeles–area destinations — with no surge pricing, ever. You'll see an exact quote before you confirm your booking.
Can you meet me inside the terminal (meet & greet)?+
Yes. With meet & greet, your chauffeur waits at baggage claim with a name placard and helps with your luggage to the vehicle — ideal after a long-haul or international flight, or when traveling with family.
